All Princeton University graduates, international celebrity musicians and entrepreneurs, Sean, Lauren and David Carpenter founded Carpenter Fine Violins & Collectibles in 2010 and has become the leading fine stringed instruments firm in the world, venturing into fine art these past few years. The Carpenter siblings have been profiled in the New Yorker, NY Times, Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News discussing musical instruments as alternative investments. Recently, they performed the "Most Expensive Concert in History" at Sotheby's where David, considered by many as the world's leading viola soloist, played on the $45 Million "MacDonald" Stradivari viola while their orchestra, the Salomé Chamber Orchestra, performed on 7 other Stradivari violins. The Salomé Orchestra, based in New York City, has performed charity concerts with John Legend, Rufus Wainwright, and Alan Gilbert helping raise over $4 Million for its partner non-profits over the last three years, which include the FEED Foundation, American Cancer Society, Camfed, and Children's Hospital of LA.
