Dr. Andrew Ury

CEO, ActX

Andrew Ury, M.D., is the CEO and founder of ActX, the leader in genomic decision support.  ActX makes genetics part of everyday medical practice by building personalized medicine support into the doctor’s everyday tool – the Electronic Health Record (EHR).  Each time a prescription is written, it is checked automatically against the patient’s genetics and if a medication is not going to work or going to cause a serious side effect, the doctor is alerted.   Dr. Ury is a graduate of Stanford Medical School and Yale University, and did his post graduate training at the University of Washington.  He founded one of the first Electronic Health Record companies, Practice Partner, which was acquired by McKesson, a Fortune 15 company.  He was the Ernst and Young Northwest Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002.
